Mainly used to adjust the amplitude of the radio frequency signal in the radio frequency circuit, for
automatic gain control, for
ALC and other schemes or placed in an amplifier before the output as a power control.
The circuit adjusts the attenuation of the input and output signals by adjusting precision potentiometer to control the magnitude of the output signal.
